About Us

Al-Asas Al-Thameen Water Treatment Co. LLC (AL-Asas Al-Thameen Water Treatment Co. LLC) is a Libyan company established in 2013 and headquartered in Misrata. We work in the design, manufacturing, assembly and operation of water desalination plants and wastewater treatment plants, and our factory in Misrata produces specialized components to protect and maintain reverse osmosis membranes. We have a branch in Tripoli, Libya, a branch in Amman, Jordan, and a branch in Ouargla Province, Algeria, and we export our products to Jordan, Algeria and Syria.

We deliver plants for tourist and resort facilities, poultry and livestock farms, agricultural and irrigation projects, investment plants selling drinking water, competition sites, and small factories and facilities. Each sector has different water-quality requirements and a different scale of daily operation, and we design the system to fit it — not to a fixed template.

Why Al-Asas Al-Thameen

Because our expertise is local and field-based: Libya’s water is not a single type of water — well water can reach a salinity of 5,000 ppm and seawater over 32,000 ppm, and silica and turbidity problems damage membranes, so the gap in design and equipment selection is large. And because our manufacturing is local, design and maintenance costs are far lower than importing a complete unit and waiting for its spare parts.

And because we produce the treatment chemicals ourselves, the client gets the unit and the means to operate it from a single source, and one of our technicians determines the right dosage to treat their water. We have regional presence through branches in Amman and Ouargla serving our clients outside Libya.
